Research interests include early photographic retouching and development of the airbrush as an art tool in the late 1880s.

Latterly, Andy has been active in International debates on the subject of Entrepreneurship, specializing in innovation, opportunity recognition and assessment strategies.

He is currently working with the Higher Education Academy's Business Management Accountancy and Finance Subject Centre where he leads the Special Interest Group In Entrepreneurial Learning.

Andy is Enterprise Educators UK Chair elect for 2010-2011 and is working with the United Nations Conference for Trade and Industry on the development of a new policy toolkit for entrepreneurship.
